Ultrasound: A Preview

This is a standalone chapter from a larger video course called the Artist Rebirth Cycle. This chapter exists on its own, but it’s also part of a 9-part arc that mirrors the stages of gestation—from conception to afterbirth integration. The full course is designed to support you in navigating creative cycles of uncertainty, emergence, and renewal—whether you’re starting a new body of work, shifting your relationship to your practice, or simply feeling called to transform.

I began developing the Artist Rebirth Cycle in 2022 as a communal container where artists could incubate a new way of making. Since then, it’s grown into a living community of participants and a series of final exhibitions. And now, in this new moment of transition while I’m 9 months pregnant with my first child, I’m returning to the metaphors of the course with a new level of urgency and clarity.

This chapter is both personal and collective. It’s a glimpse into the Artist Rebirth Cycle and also an offering in its own right. Whether you’re arriving curious, overwhelmed, or in the middle of a metamorphosis—this is a place to begin.
